1. Walk everywhere! Take the stairs whenever possible, go sight-seeing and find restaurants, the beach and other activities within walking distance to your hotel

2. Work out whenever it’s possible or convenient

3. Limit overall carbohydrate intake- there’s a million reasons why this will keep you slim on vacation

4. Limit gluten- This will keep you from getting bloated

5. Consume more fats during the day- this will give you energy to keep moving and going about your day. Just make sure to not consume too much protein as it’ll be too hard on your liver, urea and ammonia buildup

6. Wait to consume carbohydrates at dinnertime - You will consume less throughout the day and it’ll be easier for your body to process those carbs at your last meal of the day as the combination of protein, fats with added carbs and sugar will be harder to break down than solely protein and fats alone.

7. Prepare by bringing “emergency food,” just in case you won’t be eating for hours and may get hungry

8. Be active! Choose activities that keep you moving!

9. Book your hotel with a gym/fitness center so you don’t have an excuse!

10. Even if you’re laying out at the beach/poolside, find a reason to be active. Go for a walk or run on the beach, do some yoga or stretching in the morning or swim some laps in the pool or the ocean.

11. Drink lots of water whenever it’s possible. It’ll fill you up so you eat less and in many instances, when we think we’re hungry, we’re just dehydrated so consume more water. Also, water is a necessity to losing weight as it it crucial for every process in your body but most importantly, your lymphatic system needs water to flush fat and toxins out and it’s filtered out through your kidneys in the form of sweat and urine so make sure to drink lots of water.
