Exfoliation is super important for having and maintaining good skin. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, rejuvenating, smoothing and softening your skin. If you want to exfoliate with all-natural methods, I have a recipe that proves to work every time- like a dream!

This recipe is safe, with no side-effects unless you’re allergic to any of the ingredients.

Here’s what you’ll need for the face scrub:

2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil (melted/warmed)

2 tablespoons of Baking Soda

1 tablespoon of Green Tea (cooled down)

Body scrub:

6 tablespoons of Coconut oil (melted)

6 tablespoons of Baking Soda

2 tablespoons of Green Tea (cooled down)

How to make the paste:

Make and steep green tea then set aside and let it cool down

Melt the coconut oil

Mix baking soda with coconut oil then add the green tea

The importance of these ingredients:

Coconut oil is known to contain strong anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties but more importantly, it helps to moisturize and protect your skin.

Baking soda is amazing because it is full of healing properties due to its high pH level and therefore, alkalizing properties.

Green tea is crucial as it is a powerful anti-inflammatory, but it also contains caffeine which will tighten your skin and also protect your skin from free radicals that can weaken skin elasticity. It can also help treat acne by blocking excess oil production.

I use this recipe 1-2 times per week. It always leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and clean. Please remember to moisturize after rinsing off the exfoliant. Your skin will graciously thank you.

Happy exfoliating!
